When working with customers, businesses expect certain systems to perform like clockwork, yet this doesn’t always happen. Successful companies must expect the best, but plan for the worst, and have the ability to act quickly.

Such was the case for a Cloud computing firm in France.  Numerous companies and websites suffered outages and disruptions to services after a fire broke out in their facility. Many were without service for days.

Fortunately, no one was injured, but four data centers were destroyed and another one was damaged.  With so much of what we do on a daily basis revolving around technology and the Cloud, an incident like this could have had detrimental effects. Planning ahead and creating contingencies for every scenario help ensure businesses can address issues or problems that come at them.
